Picasso Marble Medicine Bear by Loren Tsalabutie

A fantastic prominent grayish cream, caramel streaked and black veined Picasso marble bear with pin point turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Loren Tsalabutie to balance on its left forearm and paw. Loren brought this fine bear earlier this fine month of July of 2026. The bear has a simple offering bundle strapped with sinew around it's featuring two chrysocolla circular beads surrounding one lapis disc style bead. Loren is one of the only carvers to create animals that balance on their forearms - which was a skill he learned from his now deceased father Jeff Tsalabutie - who died when Loren was about 17 years old. The Zuni tribe view the bear as a powerful symbol of healing, protection, strength, and introspection. As the designated protector of the West, the bear is considered a vital spiritual guide and is a source of wisdom during times of change and transition.
