A cream, gray and prominent tan colored eagle carved by Derrick Kaamasee perched on a tree trunk that has a hole that runs all the way through the stone. The eagle looks straight a head and up at the viewer with piercing turquoise inlaid eyes. The wings come together nicely on the back end as seen in the last frame of the montage. Derrick has nicely incised different patterns on the wings and tail to depict the rows of feathers. Eagle medicine helps man to gain perspective of self - namely in panoramic vision. The Zuni believe the creator made the eagle to be a teacher for mankind - and due to their ability to fly the highest; they can send our prayers to the great divine. Artist: Derrick Kaamasee Size: 1-1/8 in. wide x 2-3/8 in. long x 2-5/8 in. tall #64908
