A low-to-the-ground slightly grayish black marble badger with turquoise inlaid eyes that look slightly to the left side. Carved by Garrick Acque - there are incised designs placed on the badger's back inspired by Pendleton rugs we have been told, left unpolished so that the design stands out. There is a pristine polished line running down the center of the badger's back implying the badger stripe. The badger is revered as the primary guardian of the South, symbolizing healing and a deep knowledge of the earth. As a fetish, the badger represents passion, persistence, and the ability to find herbal remedies like roots. Independent and tenacious; the badger is also a symbol of protection and defense, because the badger is always ready to defend its boundaries. Artist: Garrick Acque (signed) Size: 3-1/4 in. long x 2 in. deep x 1 in. tall #64886
