Serpentine Mountain Lion by Loren Tsalabutie

A neon lemon lime, gray and dark viridian green spotted serpentine mountain lion carved by Loren Tsalabutie looking to its right side and up at the viewer with pin point turquoise inlaid eyes. Loren carved the lion in an anthropomorphic pose - standing upright perfectly balanced on its lower left foot with the right lower foot and the tail suspended in the air! Loren has mastered balance. The lion wears a dark apple coral and turquoise beaded necklace. The necklace has been made loose enough that it will come in its own baggy for safe shipment. We love how the jutting head at the top somewhat mimics the tail that gently curls upwards - both on the lion's right side. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the North - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve.
