Picasso Marble Frog by Clissa Martin

A small creamy, brown and gray veined Picasso marble frog carved by Clissa Martin with turquoise eyes inlaid to the protruding eye sockets by Clissa Martin. Clissa's signature dragonfly has been inlaid to the center of the frog's back - with an apple coral body and a turquoise inlaid head. Frogs are the result of water so are associated with the prominence of rain and are used to encourage the growth of crops. The Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land. The frogs sings its song reminding us of our watery beginning. Artist: Clissa Martin (signed) Size: 1 in. wide x 1-1/4 in. long x 1 in. tall #64851
