Picasso Marble Badger by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam

A gray, brown, black and cream faced Picasso marble badger carved by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam with turquoise inlaid eyes. The couple added their heart shaped arrowhead to the top of the badger's back - this one is spiny oyster then they added turquoise beads. Independent and tenacious; the badger is also a symbol of protection and defense, because the badger is always ready to guard its boundaries. As well, the badger is thought by the Zuni to possess knowledge of herbs so is good to have around when one is dealing with illness.
