An outstanding grayish black and muted white colored orthoceras mountain lion carved by Ronnie Lunasee with a tail carved in the traditional Zuni style wrapping lyrically over the back. Ronnie has strategically placed the conical fossilized spirals on the lion's left side - ending right below the tail above it - carved in high relief. Note: since the carving is very lean - it is a bit tipsy. Orthoceras was an ancient mollusk that lived more than 400 million years ago. Orthoceras is considered a powerful grounding stone that connects users with ancient Earth energy, fostering stability, confidence, and emotional balance. The name means straight horn, referring to the characteristic long, straight, conical shell. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve. Artist: Ronnie Lunasee Size: 1/2 in. wide x 4-3/4 in. long x 1-3/8 in. tall #64641
