Wild Horse Rock Lizard by Lance Cheama

A red sienna, maroon, brown umber and white spotted wild horse rock lizard with turquoise eyes inlaid to the protruding eye sockets - carved by Lance Cheama. Lance has carved all the legs and feet in the round then he carved a tail that lyrically wraps back over the lizard's body - creating a loop at the back end - ending on top of the face. The body is left smooth with notched incised on top of the tail. Lizards are associated with healing, survival and protection - especially of children - as well as prosperity, renewal, good luck and also masculinity.
