Jasper Wolf by Chris Sandoval

A prominent dark green, brown umber, rust red and blue green and gray faced wolf with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Chris Sandoval out of a piece of Belvedere, Oregon jasper. Chris has carved all the legs in the round then created a fluffy tail that curls upwards midway and back down at the tip. Wolf medicine reminds us to share our knowledge for the benefit of all - to be teachers and pathfinders and to enjoy the journey that life presents. Wolf teaches everyone about the importance of loyalty. This jasper is a highly prized jasp-agate from the Burns, Oregon area, discovered around 1968 and is a 7 in hardness on the Mohs scale.
