Picasso Marble Bear by Enrike Leekya

A gray, cream spotted and brown umber colored Picasso marble bear carved by Enrike Leekya with its head low to the ground looking slightly to its left side with turquoise inlaid eyes and snout. The bear has a lovely offering bundle strapped on top with sinew featuring a turquoise arrowhead topped with one branch coral bead. It is not that common for Enrike to carve a bear in Picasso marble, making this sweet faced lovely very desirable, we think. The Zuni believe the Creator made the bear to be a guardian for mankind. The bear is endowed with curative powers, strength, adaptability and courage - powers that can influence both the spiritual and physical realm.
