A brown, cream, golden ocher, red and raw sienna veined onyx rabbit carved by Tony Mackel with turquoise inlaid eyes. Tony incised whiskers, a nose and mouth with an 'x' shape then carved the ears laying downwards against the back of the body - with an v shaped indent incised on the top - giving them depth. The Zuni believe the rabbit represents virtue, serenity, quiet talent and restraint. The rabbit also symbolizes fertility, luck, and creativity. Often associated with springtime and new beginnings, these happy critters are a reminder that life is full of possibility.
