Angelite Mole by Melvin Sandoval

A plump grayish periwinkle colored angelite mole with minimal white spots and brown veins carved by the abstract carver Melvin Sandoval. The salient forms are the pointed snout and tail. There is a striking offering bundle placed on top of the mole's back with sinew featuring a Picasso marble arrowhead topped with two turquoise beads then surrounded by melon shell heishi. Moles share a connection with the energies of the earth, have knowledge of herbs, roots, minerals, seeds and rivers and are sensitive to touch and vibration. Moles remind us all to turn inwards - allowing for introspection and awareness of the subtle energies and influences that shape our lives.
