Picasso Marble Bird, Raven by Steven Natachu

A gray colored Picasso marble raven with jet inlaid eyes carved by Steven Natachu. Steven has incised three feather rows on both sides of the wings then he inlaid three dots on the wings - with a turquoise dot inlaid at the bottom, then an apple coral with a jet dot on top. Steven has inlaid the tail with bits of clam shell, jet, pipestone and turquoise. The Zuni artists have told Sunshine that ravens are filters and they are messengers of the great mystery; so they represent a change in consciousness. Ravens are the makers of light, thus the raven symbolizes the ultimate creator of all things - existing before the beginning of time.
