Nevada Sandstone aka; Wonderstone Mountain Lion by Burt Awelagte

A striking plump peach, maroon, red and golden sienna veined Nevada sandstone mountain lion - also called wonderstone - with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Burt Awelagte. Burt has carved a tail on the back end in high relief that curls upwards at the tip and ends slightly on the lion's right side. There is a lovely offering bundle strapped on top of the lion's back with sinew featuring a mussel shell surrounded by four turquoise beads. Nevada sandstone assists in uncovering truth, reducing negative behaviors, and fostering a balanced, calm, and insightful mindset. As a stone of the desert, it is deeply connected to ancient ancestral energy. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve.
