Angelite Mountain Lion by Loren Tsalabutie

A soft grayish blue and white streaked Brazilian quarried angelite mountain lion carved by Lornen Tsalabutie with its face looking downwards with turquoise inlaid eyes. The four legs and feet are carved in the round and the tail bringing up the rear curls upwards. Loren added a lovely offering bundle to the top with sinew featuring a black marble arrowhead with a striking orange coral bead placed on top surrounded by two small coral beads. The stone is not the same coloration as most angelites stones though there are the typical brown veins in the white steaks. The gray-white color is primarily due to natural inclusions like white quartz and gypsum. Angelite's metaphysical properties include promoting calm and peace, enhancing communication and intuition, and fostering compassion and emotional balance. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve.
