A small turquoise eagle with a prominent gray and black matrix carved by Jerrold Lahaleon looking to its left side with jet inlaid eyes. The eagle is sitting on a rock so that the tail and talons can be carved in low relief. Jerrold has added some detail to the eagle's chest as well as the wings and tail to depict feather rows but he has kept the face in contrast smooth and nicely polished. The Zuni believe the creator made the eagle to be a teacher for mankind. The eagle is the guardian and master of the sky - revered for its power, strength and dynamic grace. The eagle has incredible vision so eagle medicine calls one to look at the comprehensive whole picture of any situation. Artist: Jerrold Lahaleon (signed) Size: 5/8 in. wide x 3/4 in. long x 1-1/4 in. tall #64334
