Nevada Sandstone aka; Wonderstone Mountain Lion by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam

A smooth to the touch muted cream, brown umber, burnt and red sienna veined Nevada Sandstone mountain lion wih turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Leland Boone and his partner Daphne Quam. The body is smooth and polished - allowing the contrasting red sienna coloration on the back end to shine. Lines have been incised on the lion's tail carved in the traditional Zuni style on top of the back. There is a fantastic side offering bundle featuring an abalone arrowhead topped with two turquoise beads. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve.
