Picasso Marble Mountain Lion by Lance Cheama

A nicely polished, smooth prominent gray, cream and soft burnt sienna brown veined Picasso marble mountain lion with round turquoise dot eyes inlaid to concave eye sockets by Lance Cheama - creating an expressive face. Lance carved all the legs and feet in the round and he created a long tail to bring up the rear. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve.
