Alabaster Buffalo by Brion Hattie

A super plump prominent white and slightly gray tinged alabaster buffalo carved by Brion Hattie with pin point pen shell inlaid eyes and jet horns. Brion incised the buffalo's mane so the only smooth polished area on the face is the buffalo's snout. The hooves are smooth and nicely polished as well along with the back half of the body and the top of the tail. An offering bundle is strapped to the top of the buffalo's back with sinew featuring a black pen shell arrowhead topped with two turquoise beads surrounding an apple coral bead. The meaning of the buffalo is to help mankind overcome all obstacles, build emotional courage and physical strength and to bring abundance and initiate prayerfulness. Buffalo is a provider to all - with positive energy at the forefront - we can overcome all obstacles. Artist: Brion Hattie (signed) Size: 1-1/2 in. wide x 4-1/2 in. long x 2-7/8 in. tall #64262
