Feast Your Eyes on 64 Audio's Solo, the Final Note in the Tia® Line, Featuring the Most Striking Housing Update Since 2016 (1x) 14.2mm Planar Magnetic Driver Features world's first Helmholtz resonator in an IEM Built with 64 Audio's in-house tech: Tia®, Apex Core, LID, and Helmholtz resonators T6061 Aluminum shell, Copper faceplate mesh Includes 3.5mm + 4.4mm OCC pure Copper cables Check out our measurement of Solo Bloom's Take 64 Audio’s Solo brings together the precision of planar magnetic technology with their renowned craftsmanship. Designed for comfort, the Solo’s ergonomic fit and open-back feel, powered by the integrated apex core, ensure a fatigue-free, immersive listening experience. The Solo’s sound is both refined and engaging. Its bass is tight and impactful, the midrange shines with clarity and emotional resonance, and the treble is smooth and natural. With an open soundstage, the Solo creates a sense of space and depth, delivering precise imaging and layering that brings your music to life. Its open-back design does make it ideal for quiet environments and less suited for noisy settings. With its rich, balanced tuning and meticulous design, the Solo stands out as a premium IEM for audiophiles. Though it comes at a higher price point, the combination of planar tech and 64 Audio’s expertise makes it a compelling option for those seeking something truly special. Introducing Solo Redefining “full-range sound” in portable high-end audio, the Solo delivers the entire sonic spectrum with a single 14.2mm planar driver. As the culmination of 64 Audio’s legendary Tia® UIEM line, it draws inspiration from the innovative legacy of Fourté, Trio, and Duo. To tackle the challenge of tuning a single driver, 64 Audio introduced a traditional electronic filter alongside the world’s first Helmholtz resonator in an IEM. Paired with their patented LID technology, these breakthroughs are housed in 64 Audio’s most striking design since the Fourté's 2016 debut. The result is a quintessential 64 Audio sound, blending the detailed transients of planar technology with surprisingly robust low-frequency presence in their 1st ever single-driver UIEM. Sound Solo upholds 64 Audio's commitment to accuracy, musicality, and balance while introducing new planar driver technology. With a single driver per side, it delivers agile performance, extracting subtle details for max realism. Acoustic notch filters eliminate harshness without sacrificing performance, while the Apex core enhances high-mid and high frequencies, creating a vast soundstage. This realism is paired with tactile immersion, revealing instrument textures and even the sonic nuances of the recording equipment in your favorite tracks. Planar Magnetic Driver The planar magnetic driver uses a flat diaphragm with embedded conductors suspended between magnets, unlike traditional dynamic drivers with a conical diaphragm and voice coil. This uniform movement delivers detailed micro-transients typically requiring a dedicated high-frequency driver, ensuring reliable, high-resolution full-range sound from a single driver. Technology Helmholtz Resonators To redefine Planar Magnetic technology, 64 Audio combined a subtle high-frequency reduction with targeted attenuation of narrow frequency bands. Leveraging years of research into Helmholtz resonators, they integrated two 3D-printed micro-cavities into Solo’s sound chamber. These cavities resonate at specific frequencies, precisely tuned to amplify or diminish problematic tones for a cleaner, more refined sound. LID Linear Impedance Design (LID) is a patented circuit that corrects non-linear resistance caused by Solo’s shelf filter. It compensates for variations in source output impedance, ensuring consistent frequency response across devices like smartphones, DAC/amps, and DAPs, preserving the intended sound signature. Apex® Core The Solo features 64 Audio’s patented Apex® core technology, enhancing fidelity and spatial accuracy while providing exceptional comfort. With a design similar to the Duo, it offers just enough isolation for focused listening while feeling open and unoccluded. This ensures hours of fatigue-free enjoyment, thanks to its innovative pressure-relieving design. Copper 8-Braid Cable Solo is being paired with 64 Audio's first pure copper cable. The OCC Copper, which is 23 x 25 AWG Wires, is built into 8 braids with a pleasant tactile feel as well as an impressively low 0.26Ω impedance rating. Solo comes standard with two of these cables, one SE 3.5mm and one balanced 4.4mm.
