A striking plump white, gray, cobalt and navy blue colored sodalite medicine bear with pin point turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Loren Tsalabutie. A beautiful offering bundle is strapped to the top of the bear's back with sinew featuring a fantastic dark maroon and gray veined wooly mammoth dinosaur arrowhead toped with two small apple coral beads surrounding a new emerald green semitransparent stone from Russia - called diopside. Loren has carved each plump leg in the round with the white veins in the stone strategically placed so that they create natural heart lines. Note: the whitish-gray and tiny gray spotted areas in the white veins are smooth to the touch. The Zuni believe the bear is endowed with curative powers, strength, adaptability and courage - powers that can influence both the spiritual and physical realm. Artist: Loren Tsalabutie (signed) Size: 1-1/2 in. wide x 3 in. long x 2-3/8 in. tall #63960
