A brown, tan, cream and muted yellow ocher colored jasper bear carved by Chris Sandoval. Chris told Sunshine Studio the stone was quarried from the War Bond Mine located in the Pine Nut Mountains, Nevada. The feet are carved as two simplified forms with the powerful muscles located at the top of the bear's back carved prominently. The Zuni believe the bear is endowed with curative powers, strength, adaptability and courage - powers that can influence both the spiritual and physical realm.
