Picasso Marble Horse by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam

A prominent brown and tan colored Picasso marble horse with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam. The horse has one gray area placed on the base of the front feet carved as one simplified form. There are incised lines on the horse's mane and tail to signify horse hair. The horse represents the power of the animal world literally "harnessed" for the benefit of the human race. Horse medicine calls one to expand one's own potential abilities, tethering control of the environment, inter-species communication and offers us a good example of cooperation.
