Antler Maiden by Raymond Tsalate

A delightful small prominent grayish cream and brown streaked antler maiden carved by Ray Tsalate with pen shell slit style inlaid eyes and Mediterranean coral inlaid mouth. The maiden wears a squash blossom hair style called a swirl with lines incised all over to denote hair strands. The maiden wears a six dot necklace composed of coral, turquoise and lapis hand made dots with a larger dark malachite pendant. The maiden wears a kilt like a shawl with one jet inlaid line added near the edge all around it. The moccasins have an irregularly burnished edge and a turquoise dot latch inlaid to them.
