White Marble Horse by Eric Martinez

A lean grayish white horse with jet inlaid eyes carved by Eric Martinez bucking - thanks to the base made from the same stone that the horse is inlaid to. The hind legs are carved in the round with the front two legs carved as one form. Eric has incised lines on the horse's mane and tail with the rest of the horse's body left smooth and nicely polished. The horse represents the power of the animal world literally "harnessed" for the benefit of the human race. Horse medicine calls the self to expand one's own potential abilities, tethering control of the environment, inter-species communication and offers us a good example of cooperation. The Zuni believe the horse has healing powers. Artist: Eric Martinez (signed) Size: Horse: 3/8 in. wide x 2-1/4 in. long x 4-3/4 in. tall, Base: 1-1/4 in. wide x 1-5/8 in. long x 3/8 in. tall #63648
