Black Marble Beaver by Brion Hattie

A detailed, plump black marble beaver with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Brion Hattie - delivered to Sunshine Studio in June of 2025. Brion shaped and polished the beaver then incised lines all over the body to create fur, excluding the tail and two front teeth that are carved in low relief. There is a lovely contrasting offering bundle strapped to the top of the beaver's back with sinew featuring a gold-lip arrowhead topped with one turquoise and two apple coral beads. Beaver is industrious and diligent, he represents achievement and hard work and the promotion of family unity.
