Zuni Rock (travertine) Beaver by Enrike Leekya

A gray and golden ocher colored Zuni rock, travertine beaver with turquoise inlaid eyes that look up at the viewer carved by Enrike Leekya. Enrike has inlaid a pen shell snout with mother-of-pearl inlaid front teeth. The tail allows the beaver to stand upright on its hind legs and feet in an anthropomorphic style. The tail is nicely incised in a cross hatch pattern and the beaver holds a cedar and turquoise microphone between its two upper bodied paws. This beaver is ready for his fifteen minutes of fame! Beaver is industrious and diligent, he represents achievement and hard work and the promotion of family unity. Artist: Enrike Leekya (signed) Size: 1 in. wide x 2 in. long x 2-1/4 in. long #63505
