Nevada Sandstone aka; Wonderstone Frog by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam

A plump adorable prominent muted speckled orange Nevada sandstone mountain lion with one cream vein and turquoise dot inlaid eyes added to the raised eyes sockets. Carved by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam - the couple added a simple offering bundle to the top of the frog's back with sinew - featuring a clam shell arrowhead topped with two turquoise beads. Note that this carving is not porous - it is smooth to the touch thanks to the polishing process. The Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land. The frogs sings its song reminding us of our watery beginning. Artist: Leland Boone and Daphne Quam (signed) Size: 2 in. wide x 1-7/8 in. long x 1-3/8 in. tall #63412
