Orthoceras Badger by Loren Tsalabutie

A striking brown, gray and black orthoceras badger with turquoise inlaid eyes carved to perfection by Loren Tsalabutie. The name orthoceras means straight horn, referring to the characteristic long, straight, conical shell whose remains can be seen running down the center of the badger's back - creating a natural heart line. Independent and tenacious; the badger is also a symbol of protection and defense, because the badger is always ready to defend its boundaries. The badger is thought by the Zuni to possess knowledge of herbs so is good to have around when one is dealing with illness.
