Antler Maiden by Claudia Peina

A lovely prominent cream faced antler maiden with jet slit style inlaid eyes and coral mouth - created by Claudia Peina. Claudia formed a tablita headdress from the same horn then inlaid two coral and four turquoise dots surrounding one pen shell dot. The maiden is adorned with a six dot turquoise necklace as well as turquoise earrings. A magnificent kilt is worn like a shawl with incised lines inlaid with jet. Then Claudia inlaid four coral and four turquoise dots around the edge of the shawl's opening in front. There is an incised laurel branch on the back inlaid with jet with one coral dot inlaid at the center. The hair on the back has been meticulously incised which jogs the eyes to take notice of the fringe incised at the bottom of the maiden's shawl.
