A fantastic smooth and polished black marble rabbit with lapis inlaid eyes and perky upright ears carved as one form. Chris Sandoval carved this personable rabbit and gave it a very expressive face that looks slightly to its left side. There is a fantastic offering bundle placed on top of the back with sinew featuring four spiny oyster beads surrounding a larger amethyst bead. The Zuni believe the rabbit represents virtue, serenity, quiet talent and restraint. The rabbit symbolizes fertility, luck, and creativity. Often associated with springtime and new beginnings, these happy critters are a reminder that life is full of possibility.
