White Marble Horse by Andres Lementino

A fantastic white marble horse with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Andres Lementino rearing up, thanks to a fantastic quartz base that allows stability. We just received this fantastic horse in mid June, 2024 and are happy to have it. Andres' signature double Zuni sun face is inlaid to the horse's left hind leg utilizing bits of turquoise, mother-of-pearl, apple coral and jet. It is not uncommon to see stallions rearing in the wild when they fight, while striking at their opponent with their front legs. A rear is just a horse balking in place. The horse represents the power of the animal world literally "harnessed" for the benefit of the human race. Horse medicine calls one to expand one's own potential abilities, tethering control of the environment, inter-species communication and offers us a good example of cooperation. The Zuni believe the horse has healing powers. Artist: Andres Lementino (signed) Size: 3/4 in. wide x 2-1/2 in. lon x 4 in. tall. Base:1-3/4 in. wide x 2-1/4 in. long x 1/8 in. tall #63192
