Antler Buffalo by Troy Sice

A cream and gray colored antler buffalo with turquoise inlaid eyes and lapis horns carved by Troy Sice delivered to Sunshine Studio in December of 2024. The mane is incised on the top of the head and on the front half of the body with the face left smooth and nicely polished. Troy has placed the gray and dark spotted porous marrow area on top of the buffalo's back and under its face as well as on the front feet. Buffalo is a provider to all symbolizing abundance and manifestation. With positive energy at the forefront - we can overcome all obstacles. The buffalo is not a 'traditional' subject for Zuni carvers though the medicine they brings is needed since the buffalo helps mankind to overcome all obstacles, builds emotional courage, brings abundance and initiates prayerfulness.
