A fur incised creamy/olden umber clolored and brown spotted serpentine mountain lion with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Wilfred Cheama with all the feet carved in the round and a raised tail bringing up the rear. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve. Artist: Wilfred Cheama (signed) Size: 1 in. wide x 3-1/4 in. long x 1 in. tall #62908
