Rosarita Slag Glass Badger by Chris Sandoval

A two tone magenta Rosarita slag glass low-to-the-ground badger carved by Chris Sandoval with big turquoise inlaid eyes. Chris has added a lovely offering bundle to the top of the badger's back with sinew featuring nine spiny oyster beads surrounding two amethyst beads. Note: Chris has left two crystalline voids; one under the badger's let ear as well as on the back side - to the right of the badger's tail. Rosarita is a unique material, which derives its exceptionally rich, red color from the process of gold refining - created in the 60's and 70's in gold refining processes. Alaskan beach sand was smelted for its gold content and the slag by-product was Rosarita slag glass, which is essentially a gold-infused glass. Badger medicine bolsters one's defenses; most especially self preservation skills by focusing/guiding the spirit to be more tenacious and grounded when working towards a goal.
