Onyx Mole by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam

A large cream, brown, yellow umber and gray veined onyx mole carved by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam with incised slits only and a lovely offering bundle strapped on top with sinew featuring a pink heart shaped mussel shell arrowhead, topped with two turquoise beads. Moles share a connection with the energies of the earth, have knowledge of herbs, roots, minerals, seeds and rivers and are sensitive to touch and vibration. The mole reminds us all to turn inwards - allowing for introspection and awareness of the subtle energies and influences that shape our lives.
