A striking Cerrillos, New Mexican quarried turquoise eagle with jet inlaid eyes carved by Burt Awelagte - delivered to Sunshine Studio in late May of 2024. Burt was very proud of this carving so we just had to get it for our valued customers. I would hazard to say that this eagle is a concretion for minimal work has been done to conjure the eagle out of the stone. Eagle medicine helps man to gain perspective of self - namely in panoramic vision. The Zuni believe the creator made the eagle to be a teacher for mankind - and due to their ability to fly the highest; they can send our prayers to the great divine Artist: Burt Awelagte (signed) Size: 3-3/4 in. wide x 2-1/2 in. deep x 3-1/4 in. tall #62374
