A small cream, cobalt and navy blue streaked sodalite frog with turquoise eyes added to the raised eye sockets. Carved by Cody Cheama - the son of Lance Cheama - the frog has incised lines all over its body and front feet carved in the round. Frogs are used to encourage the growth of crops in Zuni. The Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land.
