Antler Bird, Horned Owl by Robert Michael Weahkee

An antler owl with turquoise and jet inlaid eyes carved by Robert Michael Weahkee - picked up directly from the talented artist. Robert has burnished the front V shaped top of the head and tufts leaving the wings untreated on this sweet bird. A new addition is the colorful beaded necklace - utilizing amber and citrine beads of different shapes and hues. The Zuni believe the owl can see what others can not - they assist in helping to root out deception and they can get to the essence of true wisdom. It is common to feel spiritually activated when you see or hear an owl. They are messengers from the spirit realm - bringing wisdom, truth, and understanding of the mysteries of life.
