White Marble Bird, Horned Owl by Michael Coble

A white marble horned owl with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Michael Coble. There are incised lines in an assortment of shapes on the owl's wings and tail - carved loosely to depict feathers. The Zuni believe the owl can see what others can not - they assist in helping to root out deception and they can get to the essence of true wisdom. It is common to feel spiritually activated when you see or hear an owl. They are messengers from the spirit realm - bringing wisdom, truth, and understanding of the mysteries of life.
