Antler Butterfly Maiden by Claudia Peina

An outstanding gray and cream colored antler butterfly maiden with jet inlaid eyes and a coral inlaid mouth carved by Claudia Peina. The maiden has thin gauge sterling silver inlaid wings with hammered stamp patterns creating lovely designs. The maiden wears a fourteen dot turquoise squash blossom necklace. The maiden's matta/dress has geometric incised lines inlaid with jet with fourteen turquoise dots added to the center of the triangles - representing clouds with rain we have been told. The butterfly maiden's themes are rebirth, beauty, fertility, balance, freedom, and nature.
