Cherry Creek Jasper Bobcat by Chris Sandoval

A prominent greenish gray and reddish brown veined Cherry Creek jasper bobcat carved by Chris Sandoval looking slightly to its left side with turquoise inlaid eyes. The bobcat is resting on its hind legs with its front legs extending forwards somewhat - carved by Chris as one simplified form. There is striking golden and brown area placed on the bobcat's rear end with a black and lime green ring in the center. There is also a fantastic bundle circling the bobcat's girth with sinew featuring a cream and brown veined mystery bead, a turquoise and two spiny oyster beads surrounding an amethyst larger bead - placed at the center. The bobcat is the prey God of the south - honored by the Zuni for being elusive, intelligent and a solitary and independent hunter.
