#617 2A Limestone

#617 limestone (or gravel) is a highly compactable, dense mixture of 1-inch to dust crushed stone, ideal for base layers, pothole repairs, and road/paver foundations. It functions similarly to #304 or #411 stone. It is best applied in 4-inch lifts, watered, and compacted to 98% density.  Key Details for #617 Limestone: Size: Varies from 1 inch down to fine dust particles. Best Uses: Driveway base, parking lots, filling potholes, and paver/patio foundation. Compaction: Excellent; creates a very stable, durable surface. Coverage: 1 ton typically covers roughly 90 sq. ft. at 3 inches deep. Installation: Should be applied in 4-inch lifts, with each lift thoroughly watered and compacted to 98%.  It is often used as a substitute for #304 stone in construction projects.
