Variscite Bobcat by Loren Tsalabutie

A large blue green and cream splashed variscite dancing bobcat with lapis inlaid eyes carved by Loren Tsalabutie in an anthropomorphic style - standing upright indefinitely balanced on its right foot. The bobcat wears a necklace as it's offering bundle featuring lapis and coral beads surrounded by pen shell heishi. We love the bobcat's happy expressive face with the edges of the lower portion of the bobcat's ruff contrasting nicely with the upright perky ears. The bobcat is the Zuni prey God of the south - honored by the Zuni for being elusive, intelligent and a solitary and independent hunter.
