A cream colored serpentine roadrunner with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Kevin Quam. Kevin has simplified the bird's feet so they act as a stabilizing base and he has incised feathers on the wings and tail - contrasting nicely with the polished beak. Roadrunners stand out for their speed, their desire to run rather than fly and their bravery and endurance. Their 'X' shaped footprints are used by some tribes as a sacred symbol to ward off evil. Artist: Kevin Quam, Deceased (signed) Size: 3/4 in. wide x 5 in. long x 1-3/8 in. tall #61274
