White Marble Buffalo by Andres Lementino

A fantastic large white marble buffalo with an incised chip carved pattern mane and face with turquoise inlaid eyes - created by Andres Lementino. Andres has inlaid his double Zuni sun face onto the buffalo's left side utilizing bits of turquoise, apple coral, clam shell, mother-of-pearl, jet and azurite/malachite, to name most. The Sun face is an ancient symbol in Zuni culture, representing the sacred Sun Father. The symbol's round motif depicts the Sun with a forehead split down the middle to reflect the eternal balance between sunrise and sunset. To the Zuni, the Sun face represents prosperity, happiness, peace, hope, optimism, and positive energy. Combine the luck of the sun face with the meaning of the buffalo - to help mankind overcome all obstacles, build emotional courage, physical strength - to bring abundance and initiate prayerfulness and viola - you can not help but have good luck with this buffalo by your side!
