Picasso Marble Mountain Lion by Lance Cheama

A gray, cream and brown veined Picasso marble mountain lion with turquoise inlaid eyes that look slightly to the lion's left side, carved by Lance Cheama. This is one of our largest lions presented as of late by this talented realistic artist. The lion has feet carved in the round and a tail brings up the rear that curves back towards the lion's body - thereby receiving added support. For the Zuni, the lion represents the guardian of the north - he is the master hunter, revered for intelligence, prowess and strength of will. The mountain lion enjoys the prestige of being one of the most capable predators, and therefore conveys to man a spirit to refine goals, preserve, and achieve.
