Picasso Marble Bird, Eagle by Melvin Sandoval

A gray and brown colored Picasso marble eagle with a cream face and chest carved by Melvin Sandoval mounted to a muted pink and red sienna veined arrowhead with an offering bundle that features one big azurite/malachite bead surrounded by turquoise and pen shell heishi. The eagle is the prey God of the celestial heavens - he represents conscious enlightenment and clarity. The Zuni believe the creator made the eagle to be a teacher for mankind - and due to their ability to fly the highest; they can send our prayers to the great divine. Note: there is one red vein on the front of the arrowhead that runs across the tip - it is not a crack.
