White Marble Buffalo by Andres Lementino

A fantastic white marble buffalo with an incised chip carved pattern mane and turquoise inlaid eyes - created by Andres Lementino and delivered to Sunshine Studio's front porch in November of 2021. Andres has inlaid his double Zuni sun face onto the buffalo's left side utilizing bits of turquoise, apple coral, clam, mother-of-pearl, jet and lapis to name most - the face is outstanding! The Sun face is an ancient symbol in Zuni culture, representing the sacred Sun Father. The symbol's round motif depicts the Sun with a forehead split down the middle to reflect the eternal balance between sunrise and sunset. To the Zuni, the Sun face represents prosperity, happiness, peace, hope, optimism, and positive energy. Combine the luck of the sun face with the meaning of the buffalo - to help mankind overcome all obstacles, build emotional courage, physical strength - to bring abundance and initiates prayerfulness and viola - you can't help but have good luck with this buffalo by your side!
