A small cream colored serpentine corn maiden double with jet and coral inlaid features. One maiden is smaller that the other - both have turquoise and jet inlaid necklaces, nicely incised corn rows with jet, turquoise and apple coral star bursts placed below the corn rows. There is also a olla/water jar placed to one side of the maidens carved from the same stone. The maiden symbolizes abundance, fertility and feminine energy and the corn maiden in particular is venerated in Zuni for giving up her life for the health of the community.
